Carlisle Generation 7 HydraStar Brake System
Trailer Mounted Brake Actuator for Hydraulic Brakes
Safety and Control!

Easily installed self contained trailer unit.
Faster response for reduced stopping distances.
Easily replaces surge, air/hydraulic and vacuum/hydraulic systems.
Engages trailer brakes when tow vehicle brake pedal is applied or when the in cab controller over-ride is activated.
With Carlisle's optional HSC controller the trailer brake lights are illuminated when the over-ride is activated.
Meets all DOT regulations and complies with CFR-393 federal braking requirements.
Multiple pressure ranges work with 1, 2, and 3 axle trailers equipped with hydraulic drum or disc brakes.
Three specific pressure rated units (1000, 1200, 1600 psi) matches actuator to your brake system and prevents over pressurization.
Generation 7 no longer requires HBA-CAM for Prodigy or Ford Tow Command

Description
Step up to the next generation of hydraulic trailer brake actuators with the HydraStar line of trailer mounted actuators. Unlike mechanical surge actuators, the output from the HydraStar actuator is adjustable from the drivers seat.

Use the Carlisle "HSC" in cab controller to adjust the HydraStar's output and set up your hydraulic brakes to match the load for the ultimate in control and safety.

Ideal for Horse Trailers, Boat Trailers, RV Trailers, Car Haulers, any Trailer with hydraulic brakes.

The HydraStar is available three maximum pressure settings, 1000 psi, 1200 psi and 1600 psi. Check with your trailer manufacturer to see what pressure is recommended for your trailer brakes

Superior To Surge Brakes
Works in reverse, no more pins to insert before backing up.
Eliminates brake drag common with surge actuators on down hill grades.
Eliminates the feeling of being pushed by the trailer (reducing the potential for jackknife).
Surge brakes are not legal in many states.

Easy To Install And Maintain
Simply mount the HydraStar to the trailer and attach the hydraulic brake line.
Only four wires to connect. Three wires go to tow vehicle receptacle and the fourth goes to the break away switch.
Unit mounted bleeder makes bleeding the brake lines easier.
Smaller footprint requires less space for easier installation.
Includes detailed instruction manual .
Installs on trailer with minimal wiring.
Water tight extruded aluminum enclosure protects the unit in all weather conditions.

Options And Accessories
HSC In Cab Controller
Controls the trailer brake pressure from the driver seat. Illuminates trailer brake lights when in cab override is activated.
Breakaway Kit
Federal law requires a battery and breakaway kit on trailers. These kits include a battery, battery case, and breakaway switch.
1/4" Inch Brake Line Adapter
Allows easy connection to trailer with 1/4 inch brake lines. 1/4" inch lines improve brake performance on trailers over twenty foot and/or triple axle trailers.
